YesasiaHad lunch with Erina today. Haven’t seen her for a while. We meet back in 2003 when we were studying at the Stanford Executive Program. Time flies, she is expecting a second baby very soon. She joined YesAsia as a Financial Controller & Head of HR a few yrs back, and she is now responsible for U.S. based internal spin-off YA Entertainment as well. Any institutional investors/VC interested in YA Entertainment, pls contact me. Looking for about US$ 1-2 Million for early expansion.

How good is it to enjoy an afternoon tea with whole bunch of friends, followed by the San Francisco Annual Auto Show, then having a relaxed seafood/turkey dinner at home?

Thank you for Bo-ming Ng, San Francisco Mayor office’s IT manager, for hooking us up with the Auto show, and provided me with valuable feedback about 2020 Systems. Unfortunately, the only interesting thing about the show was the showcase of all the new AMG 63 models. Everything are almost the same vs last yr.

the fung family - melbourne, australia

Thursday, November 23rd, 2006

Had a good chat with mr. fung today about media sites. Haven’t chat with him for a few months. He sure knows a ton about all media and internet related stuff that’s happening in Asia, as he was a former MSN Asia Executive and a long time TVB executive. Now he is having a good time in australia with his family and two kids.

Speaking of his wife Keziah, who joined a semi-conductor start-up back in 2000 as Finance Director and an early member, has gone IPO in 2004 and has served well ever since. Impressive. Salute to the fung family.

2020systems AppteraWent to leo chiu’s house yesterday to celebrate his daughter’s first birthday. As usual, got into the start-up conversations as he is also a fellow entrepreneur. After he did his grad school at Standford University, he co-founded and became the CTO of Apptera, a mobile advertising, search & commerce start-up backed by Walden International, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Alloy Ventures.
I appreciated your valuable feedbacks. Hopefully we can start off the thing with the right foot.

Got a call from Leo Ku, Manager for Oracle Asia Business Operations about the launch of 2020 Systems. Haven’t went out with him for a while. He is based in Hong Kong but have to fly to China and other Asian countries quite often. After he received his M.S. Management from Stanford University, Oracle decided to send him to explore stuff in Asia. Thanks for inviting me back to HK, and offer the introductions for your VC buddys at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the backers for Google and Netscape, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, the backers of Hotmail and Skype. I don’t got the time now, perhaps meet up with you when you are back to the bay area in Dec, okay?

Perhaps some readers may find them useful or interesting (if you are thinking about starting your own business or you are extremely successful already). Let’s learn a thing or two from each other!
